He was born on 20th Oct.1905 at Titwala near Kalyan(C.R.) Studied in Bhave School in Pune
and New Poona College (n0w known as S.P.College) and in College of Engineering Pune (C.O.E.P.) upto B.E.(Civil) and joined as Engineer in Pune Nagarpalika in 1931 and served as first City Engineer of Pune Mahanagarpalika upto 1960. In 1961 after Panshet Flood he had worked as an Honourable Member of Pune City Development and Rehabilitation Committee on request of Shri S.G. Barve, then Commissioner of Pune for 7 to 8 months, but he took no privileges or grants in returns to serve his motherly city Pune.
even after his retirement the deadly floods of panshet struck pune city , he was on his way to ashadhi wari, he responded to the call fronm Pune corporation and renderd his services to the city .
He also studied Dnyaneshwari and Tukaram Gatha from his mentor Shri S.V.alias Sonopant Dandekar (Principal of S.P.College,Pune).He used to go to Ashadhi Wari (Alandi to Pandharpur)every year.He used write articales in Daily Sakal,Pune on various subjects. He had work as Trustee of Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sansthan,Alandi,Parvati Sansthan,Pune, Pune Nagar Vachan Mandir,Pradhypak Dandekar Dharmik Wangmay Prakashan Mandal Pune. He was associated with Anand ashrama and Ramkrishna Matha.He used to give Pravachan and Kirtan on Saint Literature.He has written the following books.

He had published Shree Sarth Tukaram Gatha with his views. As a continuation of spiritual work of his mentor Mamasaheb Dandekar , he dedicated his life to complete Sarth Tukaram Gatha. for the same cause he worked very hard to gather previously published gatha versions and selected correct abhanga with near to correct wordings as expected by author shree sant Tukaram maharaj. i.e. removing patha bheda.
