Pemberton Ginther is the pen name of Mary Pemberton Heyler who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Heyler was an artist who worked in oils, pastels, and charcoal. She also wrote and illustrated children's books. She wrote three of the books in the Cupples and Leon Mystery Stories for Girls series, as well as the 3-book Betsy Hale series, the 10-book Miss Pat series, the 4-book Beth Anne series, and Hilda of Three Star Ranch.
