Rich Decabo is a teacher and author. He has been teaching for 19 years and has written eight books. His titles include;
Of The Lake, Communed, Green Hearts, Over Procyon, and
Rukoya. He was born in Manhattan, New York on September 2, 1965 to Frank and Maria Decabo. He was raised in Fresh Meadows, N.Y. and is presently living in Long Island, N.Y.
Decabo holds degrees in Psychology, Philosophy and Education. His interests include philosophy, astronomy, paleontology and human evolution. Decabo believes that the quest for and the attempt at discovering the truth must combine those areas that he is most interested in. According to him, they are essential in understanding who we as a people are and come from.He is currently working on several novels which he hopes to have published soon. Rich is presently teaching third grade in Queens. He enjoys the challenges of teaching and wishes he could do more for the children in his class. Rich has also given a few years of service, working with autistic, young adults which was challenging, but rewarding.
In addition to his various creative endeavors, Decabo is an amateur music composer, having written over 100 songs, half of which, contain original lyrics.
