Professor Dr Abd Rahim Md Nor specialises in Public Transport Planning, Transport Geography, Economic Geography and Quantitative Techniques. He obtained his B.A. Hons from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, M.A. from University of Keele, PhD from University of Sheffield, Diploma in Education from Universiti Malaya and Certificate in Databases from University of Cambridge. Currently he is the Head, Postgraduate Environmental Management Program, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia which offers master (M. Env. Mgt) and PhD degrees in environmental management studies. He is also the Professor of Human Geography, at the Geography Program, Centre for Social, Development and Environmental Studies of the same faculty, and Associate Principal Research Fellow, Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Outside the university, he is a public transport expert, frequently appear in mainstream media such as the New Straits Times, Utusan Malaysia and Bernama, either as contributor of articles on public transport issues or as expert interviewed by journalists. He is also a public transport consultant who has involved in transport planning for cities like Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur and for toll highways in Klang Valley, the North South Expressway, East Coast Highway, Seremban Port Dickson Highway and Butterworth Kulim Expressway. His other book on statistics is Kaedah Menganalisis Data Berkomputer published by Oxford-Fajar Publishers.
