Born on May 22, 1971, Rudra Kinshuk has authored several books in English. He has translated many Bengali poets into English and several Greek poets into Bengali. He has retold Santal folktales in Bengali. He has authored a book on the Toto tribe. His books, POSTMODERN SHABDAVIDHAN,NATUN CHINTA CHETONER PARIBHASA and POSTMODERN WRITING WORKSHOP, are considered to be important contribution to the periphery of postmodern, postcolonial and folk-postmodern and co-operative studies in Bengali. He has been awarded a junior fellowship in literature and Kabitapakshik Samman. His poetry in English has been appreciated by Jayanta Mahapatra, Bibhu Padhi, Jaydeep Sarangi and others. His poetry has been translated into French and German.
