Flora Tobin Bryant was born and raised in New York City. She graduated from the Spence School. During World War II, she was assisted in forming the coalition of groups assisting American military personnel. In 1948, she began planning weddings. In 1956, after her own marriage to Lieut. Col. Kendall S. Bryant, she and her husband formed a wedding planning company called The Bryant Bureau in Weston, Connecticut. In 1969, she published a novel, No Gloves for the Groom, under the pseudonym Peregrine Pace. Together with her husband she wrote a wedding planning guide called It's Your Wedding (1970). Her husband died in 1979 and she sold the business in 1989. She died in 1994 at age 84.
