P. K. Hallinan is an ordained minister of more than 15 years and is the Senior Pastor at Joy Chapel in Ashland, Oregon. He has written and illustrated more than 80 children's books, with over 7,500,000 copies sold worldwide. He first began writing and illustrating in the early 1970s when his wife asked him to create a picture book as a Christmas gift for their two young sons. His books are focused on teaching values to children.
