Hans Pöhl was born 1876.08.15. He went to school in the Sutlep district, department of Haapsalu and continued his studies through Oxford and Cambridge. He was a teacher in both Sweden and Noarootsi and later taught English in Tallinn. He was the Swedish minority representative at the Estonian Provincial Assembly, in The Constituent Assembly and in the Estonian Parliament. Currently the chairman of the Estonian-Swedish Educational Association, the Swedish People's & Association of Teachers League, the Swedish-Finnish Congregation Council in Tallinn as well as the director of the Mariners' home in Tallinn.
