Eleftherios (Lefteris) Drakopoulos teaches History at the University of Maryland - University College, Europe. He was raised in Chicago, and is a graduate of Loyola University. He has been publishing articles and books since 1987 on history, current affairs and global issues. His work on cultural, social and economic transitions has been awarded by professional organizations and research societies. He has repeatedly served as a government advisor in his native Greece.
