Jean Omasombo Tshonda, Doctor of Political Sciences of the Free University of Brussels (1987), is a researcher at the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren (Belgium), di-rector of the Center for Political Studies (CEP) and professor at the University of Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo). His research focuses on political developments in Central Africa (specifically the DR Congo). He is the author of various works including two books on the biography of Patrice Lumumba. Docteur en science politique à l’Université de Kinshasa, chercheur au Musée Royal d’Afrique Centrale (MRAC) à Tervueren, directeur du Centre d’Études Politiques (CEP) depuis 1999. Il est l’auteur de plusieurs livres sur l’Afrique centrale (le Congo-Kinshasa en particulier) dont deux biographies de Patrice Lumumba, il a été nommé à la Commission Lumumba comme expert.
