Note: the info about her book Cut to the Heart has an incorrect publication date. It was first published by Doubleday in hardback in June 2002. According to the flyleaf of that book "she worked as a psychologist and hospital administrator before beginning her career as a successful mystery writer. She has two grown sons and lives on the north coast of California." She wrote at least 6 mysteries featuring Fremont Jones that take place in the late 1800's, mostly in San Francisco.
