Barbara Maria Michalska was born in Poland in 1955. She resides in Vancouver, Canada since 1983. "Desert Notes" is the second poetry book published by Publish America in 2005. Her days are spent at clerical work , studying accounting, hiking, and working on the third book of poetry. The idea of writing "Desert Notes" was by most part inspired by Patrick White's novel "Voss" and the metaphors born of everyday life.
