The power of healing can be miraculous and Saloff knows this first hand. Diagnosed with cancer at age 24, Saloff didn't know if she'd ever live to see her then 2 1/2 year old son grow up. Having been raised in a family where disease and tragedy often took members of her family, she knew her life had taken a turn down that same dismal path. Then, a dream turned her life and the illness around. Though she had won her battle with cancer, other painful symptoms continued to plague her life for many years. She sought the ability to harness healing power—at will—and the means to change her path into one of joy, peace, abundance, personal fulfillment, beauty, and love. Over the years that followed, Saloff read countless books creating an extensive personal library on health, wellness, diet, nutrition, life purpose, psychology, philosophy, physics, religion, and much more in an attempt to understand both the body and mind's healing processes. Yet none of those books gave her access to the healing power she knew existed. Then, one night, locked in her bedroom, working with only mini stickie notes, colored markers, and a piece of posterboard, Saloff began writing single words and short phrases allowing the thoughts to fall in haphazard piles on the posterboard. Stopping to look at her thoughts and to rearrange them into meaningful piles, she suddenly understood—her illness had meaning. . .her life had meaning. It was from these initial realizatons that the book Transformational Healing grew.
