Lise St. Amant, author of The Great Bardo Ride and the upcoming "The Ghosts of New York" has been writing for stage, national news and the print media for nearly twenty years. A member of the first graduating class of women from Dartmouth, Ms. St. Amant studied stage direction in London and at the Eugene O’Neill Playwriting Center. Under the tutelage and encouragement of Bud Schulberg, John Guare and Maury Rapf, she was encouraged to write her first short plays, and eventual musicals, which have been produced at regional theaters. Later, she was the lead stringer for CNN in New England, producing and reporting national and international news during the 80s. She continued to produce video news releases for Edelman Public Relations worldwide and concurrently performed her own music at New York nightclubs, returning to a first love. She has also written and edited for many magazines, and began to turn her attention to fiction writing at that time. She is also a trained counselor and life-coach with a Masters in Psychology--an interest that fuels the creation of her characters.
This is her first novel and is the initial installment of a trilogy of books centering on life in the fictional seacoast community of Ocean Grove, Maine.
