Hope D Blackwell is an international evangelist, missionary, author, and teacher of God’s Word. God called her to ministry to carry out the mandate of Isaiah 61:4 to build the old wastes, raise up the former desolations, and repair the wastes cities, the desolations of many generations. She is the founder of Back to the Garden Ministries, which assists people locally and globally in becoming spiritually, emotionally, and socially stable and productive members of their society. Hope encourages people to walk in their purpose through effective teaching and training; assisting families, churches, and ministry leaders as far as Nigeria and Kenya; and in August of 2009 is planning to take her first trip to the country of India in East Godavari, to begin relationship building for missions work there as well. Hope is also the author of three “Back to the Garden†books (the man, the woman, and the marriage) and just completed her fourth book, Back to the Garden; The Purpose Driven Woman, which is a devotional workbook, already being used in women’s ministries all over the world. Hope’s love, passion, and determination to teach and equip God’s people is fueled by her love relationship with Christ and deliverance from many strongholds that stemmed from her youth issues including; molestation, low self esteem, teenage pregnancies, promiscuity, rape, physical & emotional spousal abuse, and divorce. Her life is a testimony of the grace and redemptive power of God and a modern day biblical story of victory through Jesus Christ. Her desire is simply to accurately and precisely preach and teach the gospel and make disciples, so that people will live victorious lives. Hope is the mother of four sons and one daughter, and the grandmother of two, and is a member of Second Calvary Church in Norfolk VA serving as the Director of Foreign Missions.
