Dr. Suda Ishida is associate professor of communication studies in the Department of Theatre Arts and Communication Studies at Hamline University, where she also directs the Certificate in International Journalism Program. She earned her Ph.D. from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Iowa, M.A. at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, and B.A. (Honors) at Chiangmai University, Thailand. Dr. Ishida's research focuses on mass media in Thailand, globalization and social movements.
