Nacida en Pontevedra. Es Doctora en Filología Hispánica por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Profesora y crítica literaria.
Es autora de numerosos ensayos sobre teatro clásico y poesía española, además de ejercer la crítica literaria en prensa española, como ABC CULTURAL, EL CULTURAL de El Mundo, etc.
Como poeta, tiene publicados "La lealtad del espejo", "La vigilia del tiempo", "La epopeya del laberinto" y "La peil de las palabras". En breve saldrá la edición de "Los volcanes sin sueño".
En la actualidad colabora con EL PAIS. Es Coordinadora de Humanidades de la Fundación Carolina.
