Marilyn Sweet has loved horses all her life and began riding as a young child. In the 1970s, while attending teachers' college, she met her future husband Peter, who was interested in photography. They married, and combined their interests, with Marilyn reporting on and Peter photographing horse races. They established a photography business called Sweet Photography. In addition to photographing horses and horse races internationally, the couple photographs other animals, and their work has appeared in several books and magazines.
