Delores Shanee Simmons was born to Ronald (Q-Ball) Ragland and Delores K. Simmons on February 5, 1985. For reasons I don’t care to describe at this time, myself and my sister Myshea who is two years older than me were raised by Q-Ball. Several years later, the woman who I call mom and or my mother, Michelle C. Sherman-Pannell, became a true blessing in my life and without her I know I would not be the person I am today. This is in no way to diminish Q-Ball’s role. To understand what I mean, you have to understand Q-Ball. Q-Ball was a father and a mother and by that I mean Q-Ball was extraordinary. My sister and I lived in shelters along with Q-Ball and he never let us down. He did hair, sewed, cooked, cleaned, and disciplined us but the most important thing was that there was never a time I couldn’t go to him and talk about any and everything. So you see in order for me to tell you about me, I have to tell you how I became me. I am just a young woman who loves life and wants to live and learn all the good that this life has to offer because as Q-Ball always says “If there is any good that I can do, heavenly creator please let me do it now for I shall not pass this way again!â€
