Fred Fanning is a successful and well respected program manager. He has traveled widely and lived in seven U.S. states, Guam, and Germany. Fred is an avid reader and writer whose first book was published in 1998. An updated edition of that book was published in 2003. Both editions of the book were peer reviewed. He went on to coauthor a training manual with his wife Tammy in 2005. Fred also authored a peer reviewed chapter that was published in the "Best Selling" Safety Professional Handbook in 2008 with a second addition published in 2012. Over the years he has authored over 30 technical articles. His second book was published in 2011. Fred received first place in the Professional Writing Contest sponsored by the Federal Managers Association and the 2007 Best Newsletter Article award from the American Society of Safety Engineers.
