Author: Chukwuemeka Ilouno

I was born in the Eastern Region of Nigeria to Igbo parents- Gabriel and Rebecca Ilouno, now deceased. I studied biochemistry at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the University of Calabar, both in Nigeria. On completing my doctorate degree program, I taught briefly at the Chemical Pathology Dept. of the University of Calabar for a year before transferring my services to the Anambra State University of Technology at Enugu. Following the creation of the New Anambra State, I re-located to Awka where I taught biochemistry at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University from November 1986 to July 1996. I then emmigrated to the United States of America from where I wrote this book- the "Greener Pastures," (book cover is attached for convenience). I am currently working as an adjunct science instructor in the Dallas public schools.
I have attended many workshops, conferences, and seminars in the course of my teaching career. For instance, I was in Stockholm, Sweeden in August of 1986 for a conference/workshop organized by the Association of medical laboratory scientists. Then, in the summer of 1988, I undertook a laboratory visit to Professor Samuel Bessman's laboratory at the University of Southern California.
