**Advocate. V. A. A. Azeez (Valechira Aboobaker Abdul Azeez) born in Alappuzha District (1932- 2002) contributed to the literature of Malayalam 55 books including short stories and novels. ‘Jawaharlalinte Jeevitha Katha’ was selected in the syllabus of Calicut University. He served ‘Kerala Sahitya Academy’ for 10 years as its Secretary. He was the Former Managing Director of Foam Mattings (India) Limited; Alappuzha. He retired from the Secretariat of Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram) in 1985 as Additional Law Secretary. Even after retirement he continued his legal practice till his death.
Most of his novels are sincere attempts to depict human nature and psychology of different classes in the society. His language is simple and warm that can be realized and enjoyed by any literate person.**
