Frederick M. de la Fosse was the Chief Librarian of Peterborough Public Library, Ontario, Canada, from 5 December 1910 to his retirement in 1946. The The DelaFosse Branch Library in Peterborough is named in honour of him.
Frederick Montague de la Fosse was born 25 July 1860 at the Military Station of Roorkee in Bengal, India, first son of Captain Charles Edward De la Fosse and Isabella Sophie (Sophia) De la Fosse (nee Ricketts), brother of two younger sisters, both born in India, too.
He was married to Mary Janet, nee Graham Bell of Scotland, from 25 March 1886 until her death at 17 November 1921. In 1925 he married a second time, Amy Vernon, nee Halliday of Peterborough.
De la Fosse died on 26 September 1950 in Peterborough.
