Author: Foad Katirai

Dr. Foad Katirai’s interests in global issues stem from roots deep in his multi-racial, multi-cultural background. Born in 1950 into a family in Iran formed from Christian, Jewish and Muslim ancestries, he is a naturalized citizen of Japan, where he has lived since 1953 and worked as a CEO and CFO in the electronics industry for more than two decades. Having completed his early schooling at Canadian Academy, an international English speaking school in Kobe, Dr. Katirai went on to obtain an Honours degree in Economics from Columbia University in New York and a Masters and a Doctorate in Management Studies from Oxford University in England. An adherent of the Bahai Faith, he worked closely with the Bahai International Community’s accredited NGO Office at the United Nations in New York between the years 1970-1974. Dr. Katirai speaks 5 languages and has traveled and lectured extensively in North America, Europe, the CIS, the Middle East and the Far East, giving him a first hand, perhaps, unique perspective into the global issues that form the subject of his book. Besides his interest in global issues, Dr. Katirai is a homeopathic (HD) physician and likes flying single engine aircraft and collecting classical cars. He is divorced and makes his home in Japan. Currently he is in the 4th Year of medical school at Tongji Medical College HUST in China.
