Senior software developer. Implementing and developing a large multi-threaded and parallel distributed system on real-time analysis of bulk radio signalling data. The large data sets are passively acquired from the mobile phone network. Developing GPS trace log encoder. Implementing and developing the management console of the system.

Mar 2002 – Aug 2006: Human Genetics Unit, Medical Research Council, UK
Project manager. Leading a bioinformatics project which is large scale biological data (including text and images) exchange between five international research groups. I designed the system infrastructure, integrated packages to the system, system and application development.
Scientific researcher. The major outputs are developing a distributed fast image annotation application, design the key tables of a database and key component in the server. The annotation software is a application lunched by WebStart. The portal is a web site. I integrated Apache, tomcat and MySQL together. The techniques are Java, Servlets, JSP, JSTL, SQL, Soap, XML, JavaScript and Html, etc. The link is http://www.eurexpress.org.
In my previous project, I designed and developed a set of 3D image processing software, which includes a 3D image viewer (JAtlasViewer), image converter (JConvert), 3D gene expression viewer, 3D image reconstructor (JReconstruct), image warping (3D tie-point collector and warping) and 3D image processor. Refer to http://genex.hgu.mrc.ac.uk//Software/JavaTools/. They are launched by Java WebStart. These products are used in Cambridge University and Edinburgh University.
I also implemented and fixed bugs on applications in “3D embryo anatomy atlas” and “emage gene expression database”.

June 2001 – Jan 2002: Aspen Technology Inc.
I was responsible CAPE-Open project for Aspen Plus, the core product of the company. I developed COM components using VC and VB. I successfully released a hot fix package in half year.

Oct 1997 – Dec 1997 London Enterprise Recruitment Consultant
I built up a web site and a database. The database was used to store the information of employees and employers.
