[English] Bernard Pyne Grenfell (b. 1869 in Birmingham, d. in 1926 in Oxford) was an English scientist and Egyptologist, und Professor of Papyrology at Oxford. Together with [Arthur Surridge Hunt][1] he took part in archaeological excavations at Oxyrhynchus and discovered many old manuscripts, which are now known as the *“Oxyrhynchus Papyri”*.
