**Riccardo Bavaj** ist Autor zweier Monographien über linkes antipluralistisches Denken in der Weimarer Republik und über die Ambivalenzen der Moderne im "Dritten Reich" (siehe http://www.amazon.de/Riccardo-Bavaj/e/B001JOTM96). Er ist Spezialist für die deutsche Geistes- und Ideengeschichte im 20. Jahrhundert und arbeitet zur Zeit an einem Projekt über den Liberalismus in Westdeutschland und den USA, das von der Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung unterstützt wird. Seit 2005 lehrt Bavaj Europäische Geschichte des Zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts an der University of St Andrews.

**Riccardo Bavaj** is a Lecturer in Modern European History at the University of St Andrews.
