Judith Silverthorne is a multiple-award winning Saskatchewan-based author of eleven books; nine of which are children's novelswith one translated into Japanese. She has also written several hundred articles and columns for newspapers and magazines and is a regular contributor to Fine Lifestyles Regina. She is the current Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Writers Guild and has worked as a freelance editor, evaluator and critiquer, researcher, curator, book reviewer, managing editor and television documentary producer.

She has presented hundreds of readings and writing workshops at libraries, schools and other educational institutions, at conferences, for rural writing groups and the Saskatchewan Writers Guild writing programs. She has taught numerous film related classes at SIAST in Regina and writing classes for the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Regina.
