In the past five years, Herman R. Nagle has self-published 6 interesting publications to residents of Central Pennsylvania. The Altoona Memories Scrapbook takes the reader through 100 Chapters of memories of growing up and living in Altoona, PA. The Altoona Memories of Baseball chronicles 60 years of local baseball from 1900 to 1960. The Altoona Memories of Bowling chronicles from 1930 to 1978 old time bowlers in Altoona with lots of interesting personal articles of leagues. The history of the Cresson Lake Playhouse from 1974 to 2004 reviews 157 productions and programs of each show. All proceeds from this publication belong to the Playhouse for their operations. Also, two genealogy books to enhance the reading shelves of local Altoonians, are the History of the Peck Family -1818 to 2008. This book researches the Author's spouse' relatives and her American Indian Heritage. Also, the history of the John Fisher Family Circa 1930 to 2008. On November 8, 2009, The Blair County Historical Society presented the President's Award to Herman R. Nagle for his contribution to the Blair County Area for the historical contents of his self-published works.
