From Sous Chef to Award Winning Virtual Chef

The Renaissance Gourmet Angela Tunner started her culinary career working as a sous chef in an upscale Toronto restaurant. It was busy, hectic and the intense 18-hour workdays transformed Angela from an accidental cook, into a devout food enthusiast who drew line-ups down the block. When faced with a challenge Angela is at her best. So naturally she began devising ways to cut past the unnecessary and do things quickly and efficiently.

It was only after she left the restaurant world that she realized the magnitude of what she had learned. Being a giving person, Angela felt compelled to share what she knew with other cooks.

After the birth of her son Angela decided to write her unique techniques and ideas into a book for cooks everywhere. So “Simply Summer” was born. As it gained international awards and success, Angela decided to move her business online so that people everywhere could start living “The Renaissance Way”.

As it turned out, being a virtual Chef has suited Angela so well that she no longer does cooking classes or speaks at events. The brand is thriving and her followers are growing daily.

Whether teaching people to cook in a traditional setting or through her videos, cookbooks or newsletters - Angela’s unique approach is changing the way people cook.
