Born in Dundo, Angola. Moved to Portugal in 1958. Started with the poetry book "Nas Coxas Do Tempo" (In The Hips Of Time) author´s edition. Her commertial beggining was not until 1979, with the little book "E Contudo Cantar Sempre" (And However Always Sing). In the same year, Wanda publishes a series of poems in the collective book "The Young Portuguese Poetry" alongside Eduarda Chiote and João Camilo. Her part was called "Que Rio Vem Forçar A Entrada Nesta Casa" (What River Is Forcing Entrance in this House?). Her first novel was "Percursos" (Paths), and then, in 1983, she published in hte mythical book editor &etc a little book of poems, "Intimidade da Fala" (Intimacy Of Talk). After that, her last release on poetry would be "Poe-Mas-Com-Sentidos" in 1986. From that year on, fiction would be her definitive style, wich she kept until her death, in 1998.
