Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Louis K. Lowy moved to South Florida at the age of seven.
A former firefighter, he is the recipient of a State of Florida Individual Artist Fellowship. His non-fiction, poems, and short stories have appeared in *Coral Living Magazine*, *New Plains Review*, *Merge*, *Ethereal Tales*, *Bête Noire*, *Pushing Out the Boat*, *The MacGuffin Magazine*, *Enizagam Journal*, *The Toucan Magazine*, and *The Chaffey Review*.
His poem “Poetry Workshop†was a second place winner of Winning Writers Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest.
*Die Laughing*, was published in Sept., 2011 by IFWG Publishing. It is a humorously dark sci-fi tale set in the 1950’s of flying saucers, communist paranoia, and live television.
He is currently polishing up a second novel, and working toward the end of a third one.
