Dr. L. Jack Bradshaw was born in Palo Alto Ca. the son of William and Helen Bradshaw, who was later a superior court judge in Kern County. He served in the navy in WWII as a pilot. After his military service he attended Stanford University graduating with a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology. He later taught Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Immunology at San Bernardino Valley College then California State University at Fullerton where he mentored numerous students who went on to contribute much to the scientific community. His preeminent interest was cancer research and writing books that explained scientific phenomena in a clear and understandable way. He continued to revise his books well into retirement. He died Jan 7 2006 in Ridgefield Washington.
