He was born in the Angolan city of Benguela. He is a writer, essayist and literary critic and is a member of the Angolan Writers’ Union (AWU) and the Association of African Writers (APELA) based in Paris. He has spent much of his time in disseminating and researching African literature, and in particular, Angolan history of literature. He sat for his degree in law at the Universidade Agostinho Neto in Luanda, His second degree was in Modern Languages and Literatures at the Open University of Portugal.
He is presently writing an MA thesis for in Literary Studies for the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Apart from having contributed articles and essays to several Angolan and foreign magazines, (Germany, Austria, Brazil, Spain, the USA, France, Mozambique, Nigeria and Portugal) he has published the following books:
