Benon Bromberek was born in Oborniki Wlkp. (Poland), died in Poznan (Poland); Polish teacher and educator, Professor of Education.

He started his teaching career at the School for People with Disabilities in Jeziory near Poznan, Poland in 1949; after a few other school appointments, including Inter-Faculty Education Unit at the Higher School of Agricultural Science in Poznan, he moved to Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan (UAM) in 1961.
He stayed with the University for 42 years (util 2003) progressing from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer to Associate Professor and, finally, Professor (1989); at the UAM he was Associate Dean of the Philosophy & Historical Sciences Faculty (1968–72), Director of the Inter-Faculty Education Unit (1972-82), Deputy Director (1969-72) and Director (1987-91) of the Institute of Pedagogics, and Founding Director of the Tertiary Education Unit (1974-2000).
His teaching involvements included lectures on education at numerous tertiary education institutions in Poland and abroad; he was guest professor at Academy of Arts in Berlin, and gave lectures at universities in Hannover, Konstanz, Halle and Klagenfurt (Germany), St. Petersburg and Moscow (Russia), and Kharkov (Ukraine). The last 11 years of his life (1989-2010) he was Professor of Education at the Higher School of Social Sciences and Journalism in Poznan.
His publishing record includes 17 books and over 160 papers on education (chiefly teacher education) and sociology of education.
Prof. Bromberek was awarded with many State and industry awards.
