Our Review
Five Go Parenting is the second book I have read in the Enid Blyton for grown-ups series. The first I read was Five Give Up The Drink.
In this book the gang report their cousin and wife for a crime. Shortly afterwards they are visited by Wendy from social services. It turns out Rupert and his wife had a baby called Lily. The gang somewhat reluctantly agree to take her in.
The bit when George changes Lily’s nappy made me laugh because it reminded me when I was looking after my nephew and he wouldn’t stop trying to roll away while I was changing his nappy.
“The whole experience had been like trying to put trousers on a distracted octopus.”
This book is an amusing tale of the trials that can await those who are new to being parents. If you are looking for a bit of a humorous tale then I would recommend this book.
