'Quidditch Through The Ages' is an instructional book for those looking to learn more about this magical game and is a treasured read in the Hogwarts school library.
Our Review
My copy of Quidditch Through The Ages is a special edition released for Comic Relief. One of my favourite things about it is the picture of a library card in the front of the book. The card contains the names of some of my favourite Harry Potter characters and is a nice addition to the book.
“Quidditch Through the Ages is one of the most popular titles in the Hogwarts school library. Madam Pince, our librarian, tells me that it is ‘pawed about, dribbled on, and generally maltreated’ nearly every day – a high compliment for any book.”
For the witches and wizards among the readers J. K. Rowling includes an explanation of Comic Relief.
“By buying this book – and I would advise you to buy it, because if you read it for too long without handing over money you will find yourself the object of a Thief’s Curse – you too will be contributing to this magical mission.”
Dumbledore reminds potential readers to be careful with the books as he cannot guarantee what will happen if the book is damaged.
This book contains an interesting history on the development of the game, discussion of anti-muggle precautions to be taken and an introduction to all aspects of this much-loved game.
This was an interesting and informative little book and is definitely a treat for fans of the Harry Potter books.
