Our Review
The Captive and The Power are part of The Secret Circle series. In these books Cassie and the gang are battling the big evil and Cassie is battling a forbidden love.
I think Cassie transforms from being quite an anoying character to being someone of interest. I love the way Cassie treads the line between 'good' and 'evil' and I really enjoyed the potential romance between her and Nick. If I am honest I was routing for their romance over the other.
The struggle between good and evil kept me interested right up to the final pages and even rereading it as an adult I enjoy it, the same cannot be said for every book I enjoyed as a young teen.
