Currently living in Alexandria and Siwa Oasis, Egypt, Sam Enslow was born in Vermillion, South Dakota. For many years he was general partner of the finca La Ventana located in Colombia's Vichada on the Orinoco river. In 1984 he was made Alcaldia menor de Tuesaquillo by Col. Agustin Ramos R of Colombia's Policia nacional. He also was associated with the gallery Dagmar located in BogotaS Hotel Tequendamea.
In 1992, , Sam Enslow was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (London) and has received awards from Broward County and the City of Ft Lauderdale , FL for his work in archaeology and anthropology. He has also worked in the countries of the former USSR as a volunteer with the IESC.
