Studium der Politikwissenschaft in Italien, Abschluß mit Promotion. Terracciano publizierte zahllose Aufsätze und eigene Bücher, sein Hauptthemenschwerpunkt war Geopolitik. Als einer der herausragenden Vertreter der eurasischen Idee im Westen gab Terracciano bis zu seinem Tod im Jahre 2005 das italienische geopoltische Periodikum "Eurasia – Rivista di studi Geopolici" heraus.
