A Manchester Irish film maker and investigative journalist. Returned home to Ireland in 1987. Was awarded the European Journalist of the Year award in 1997. Did his journalism and film training with the BBC but before that was in the Danish merchant marine for five years. Has an honours degree in Scandinavian and Celtic Studies from University College Dublin.
