Graduado em Letras Modernas (LÃngua e Civilização Francesas), assim como em Literatura Geral e Comparada, com mestrado e doutorado em Literatura Geral e Comparada, sempre pela Sorbonne-Nouvelle (Université de Paris III). Lecionou, como Professor Visitante, na Universidade Eötvös Loránd de Budapeste (2002-2004) e na Université du Quebec à Montréal (2005-2006), em missão atribuÃda pelo Ministério das Relações Exteriores do Brasil (Itamaraty). Realizou pesquisas pós-doutorais em ambas universidades. Atualmente é docente pesquisador do programa de Mestrado em Literatura Comparada da Universidade Regional Integrada do Alto Uruguai e das Missões (Frederico Westphalen, RS) e do programa de Doutorado em Literaturas de LÃngua Portuguesa da Universidade Eötvös Loránd de Budapeste. Realiza pesquisas na área de Literatura Comparada (Estudos Culturais) e Literatura Brasileira, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Manoel de Barros, Guimarães Rosa, literatura e cultura regionais, cultura e desenvolvimento.
