Maurice L. Gimbel is the late author of poetry books, e.g."the Borgia Gift," and "Lamp In the Labyrinth." He was also a successful songwriter who co-authored songs with Swamp Dogg (aka Jerry
Williams Jr.), Gary U.S. Bonds, Bobby Gosh, Tony Sansone and Joni klein Higger, to name a few.
His songs have been recorded by Bob Dylan, Solomon Burke, Lulu, Freddie North and Doris Duke.
Before his death, he turned his creative skills to writing screenplays. One of his screenplays, "Big
Deal At Whistlestop," has been crafted, postumously, into a novel by Jane B. Altschuler.
