Born in Anatavaram, East Godavari dt.AP, India, educated at various places and migrated to Hyderabad in 1920 and settled in educational field , Retired as Professor in Telugu from Nizam College in 1951. His ancestors are from Fakirsahebpeta, Chodavaram, of Visakhapatnam dt.
His works include translation of Vyasakrutha Sri Devibhagavatam published originally by him in 1952 which is well read by several Sri Devi devotees.
