Edith Mary England was born in Townsville, Queensland. In 1922 she married Schomberg Montagu Bertie and had two daughters. Bertie died in 1937 and in 1942 England married Henry August Anders. Her death is alternately given as 1970, 1979, 1981, and 1982.
