James Arthur Anderson was born in Providence, RI and attended Rhode Island College (B.A. 1977, M.A. 1987). He earned his Ph.D. in English from the University of Rhode Island in 1992. He is currently Professor of English at Johnson & Wales University's Florida Campus.
