Jane Jamison was born on 1926 in Los Angeles, California, USA. When she was nine months old, her parents, Frances and James K. Jamison, both teachers, took her to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where she grew up. She had moved from upstate New York to Carson City, Nevada--the result of falling in love with Mr. Toombs, a Nevadan. She has returned "home" to live in the beautiful Upper Peninsula on the shore of Lake Superior--with the Viking from her past. Jane has five children, two stepchildren, seven grandchildren, a calico cat named Kinko and two computers.

She's the author of numerous published books, both in paper and electronic. These include the various romance genres--gothic, suspense, contemporary, historical, Regency and paranormal--as well as other genres such as mystery, fantasy and horror. Jane has used pseudonyms: Diana Stuart, Rebecca Drury, Lee Willoughby Davis, Ellen Jamison, Olivia Sumner--but is now writing under her own name, Jane Toombs, except for her historical romances for which she uses Jane Anderson.
