Author: Joan G. Hansen

Joan G. Hansen grew up a block from the home of John D. Voelker, who wrote "Anatomy of a Murder" under the pen name of Robert Traver. His daughters were her close friends, and she had a small part in the movie based on Robert Traver's book. While working as the hostess in the dining room of the hotel in which the cast and directors stayed, Joan met them all, went to their parties, and danced with Jimmy Stewart.
2009 is the fiftieth aniversary of the filming, which all took place in Marquette County, Michigan.
