Clarence Arthur Gall was born in Chaguanas, Trinidad in 1945. He attended St. Mary's College, Port of Spain where he won an Island Scholarship in the Science Group in 1964. He went to Montreal, Canada in 1965 to study biochemistry at Mc Gill University. He obtained a B.Sc. with honours in chemistry in 1968 and a Ph.D. in chemical physics in 1974. He then left Canada in 1975 to take up a position in the engineering faculty of Zulia University (Universidad del Zulia), Maracaibo, Venezuela. His work at the university mainly concerned the chemistry of heavy petroleum. "Matter, Gravity and Spin", a study on general relativity, is an interest that Dr. Gall has pursued in his spare time. He thinks that it is of great relevance to space research and will eventually be found to be of importance in many other areas of science and technology.
