Hello everybody, my name is Brian Kasperitis. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but, presently live in Kingwood, Texas with my wife Robin and our two children: Megan and Dillon.
I began working as a professional musician at an early age. By the age of 18, I was on tour with personalities such as Chubby Checker. I have toured with him 6 times since then! I have also played in the orchestra for movies such as “Popeyeâ€, starring Robin Williams.
Working as a musician interrupted my education often. However, I managed to always return to school. My formal education includes an AA degree as an instrumentalist, BS in Music Education, BS in Elementary Education and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership.
Presently, I am a part-time college professor & workshop presenter; I serve on the faculty of North Harris/ Montgomery College District and The Texas Education Agency. I also have 13 years experience teaching full-time in the classroom and as a band teacher.
After being voted “Outstanding Young Man in America,†for two consecutive years, I was later appointed “Artist in Residency†to the Texas Commission on the Arts by George W. Bush. This honor has afforded me many exciting experiences.
“The Mr. K Show,†my self-esteem and motivational workshop is ever growing. My first published children’s book; Grandad’s Old Tuba has been featured at the Texas Bluebonnet Festival for children. Most recently, I have contributed a chapter on home schooling in a book entitled A School for Every Child.
On a daily basis, my wife and I own and operate Kingwood Cove Day School, our own little school & music studio, which is located only two blocks from our home. We enjoy our work and look forward to each day together.
